The other night Jared and I snuck away for a little anniversary date. There's this little Italian restaurant just down the road, and we've been dying to try it ever since we've moved in.
But first . . . we made a quick dash to Staple's to copy the rest of our adoption paperwork that needed to be turned in the next morning.
Isn't he cute? Seriously, can't think of anyone else I'd rather be doing paperwork with on our anniversary.
We made it to Alessia's around 6:30pm. The atmosphere was quaint, and the service was amazing!
And please excuse the grainy pics in this post, I didn't have the camera with me, so all of these were taken on the phone.
This was the salad that came with my dinner, and it was seriously the best I've ever had. That little ball of shredded tomato was packed with the most incredible flavor!
See the couple in the picture behind us? The whole time they were talking with their friends about a recent trip to the wine vineyards in France. It sounded purely magical! Someday, we'll make it there too :)
Both our entrees were amazing! He ordered the Gnocchi Alla Brian, and I had the Pollo Marsala. What makes their food so distinct here, is that every dish is made from scratch when you order. It tastes so incredibly fresh!
We ended our little dinner date with a delicious slice of tiramisu to-go, and this awesome "A" made out of wine corks.
Thank you babe for a great night out. You know how much I LOVE yummy food, but the best part was getting time alone with you!
And, if you're in the Mesa area, I would definitely recommend hitting up Alessia's for some great Italian food!!
