When monsoon season rolls around, my heart seems to burst at the seams. I was made for the rain! When the earth is bathed in little waves and the sky sheds her tears, it feeds my thirsty soul.
I never imagined we'd make the desert our home, but I've fallen in love with this place. And despite the heat, it's the little moments like this that make it all worth it.
The other night Jared and I went on a date to downtown Tempe. We found a little Irish pub called the Rula Bula, and stopped in for dinner. They make the yummiest fish and chips!
Sometimes I feel like we have so many plates spinning in the air right now, that it's easy to let life overwhelm us. There are seasons of busy and when you're in the middle of one, it's hard to see through it. But taking little moments away to reconnect, laugh, and walk hand-in-hand under the street lights, gives me the courage to get up and try again tomorrow.
