Day 53. Feb 22. It doesn't take a lot to make me happy, but walking the isles of Home Depot seriously tops my list of happy places!! Just look at all that wood brimming with endless possibilities! #myhappyplace
Day 54. Feb 23. How many Tootsie Rolls can you fit in your mouth? We will never know. . .by number 13 he was laughing so hard, he had to stop :)
Day 55. Feb 24. Lily and Pastor Forbes. I went over to help DeDe today on a blog project, and brought my little side-kick along. She decided to go outside and help clean out the fishpond. It was cloudy and a little chilly, so he gave her his shirt :) This family will never know how much they mean to us. When we got home I asked Lily what her favorite part of today was, She said it was the funny stories he told her about their old pot belly pig.
Day 56. Feb 25. For the past 6 months, I have been designing and playing around with a new necklace line. Today I took all the pictures, and tomorrow they launch in our Etsy shop! Can't wait for you to see them!
Day 57. Feb 26. This kind gentleman sitting in the chair is Sam. Yesterday we found out that Jared's dad had a blockage in his heart, so he was flown to Banner Heart Hospital, which is about 10 minutes from our house. Tomorrow they will have to do a triple bypass. We went to see him this morning, and walked in to this. Sam is a former patient here, and had the same surgery 11 month ago. His wife has passed away, and his children live out East. . . So what does he do all day? He pours his life into others. He volunteers at the hospital, visiting patients who are going through the same thing he experienced. Over the course of the hour that we sat and listened to him, he had us laughing, crying, and more than anything, filled with hope. There are people, and then there there are people like Sam. People who live to make the world a better place and inspire others to do the same. Although the circumstances are hard, today I am grateful for this.
