I saw this idea the other day on Pip's blog, and thought it would be fun to take a little snap shot of our lives every now and then...
Making: room in my soul for what matters, and bidding farewell to old baggage.
Cooking: philly cheese steak sandwiches for dinner.
Drinking: chocolate milk. If I were a super hero, this would undoubtedly be my source of power :)
Reading: Undaunted by Christine Caine, and the War of Art by Steven Pressfield.
Wanting: to freeze time and keep my kiddos young...just for a little longer.
Looking: forward to seeing my family at the end of May :)
Playing: in the sun.
Wasting: sunblock...I don't think much of it sinks into their skin, before they cannonball their little bodies into the pool.
Sewing: a poodle skirt for Lily...she's attending a 1950's themed b-day party for one of her close friends.
Wishing: for more hours in the day...
Enjoying: the sound of Dylan singing in the other room, and Lily and Seth hysterically laughing at the over-dramatic opera tunes he sings just for them.
Waiting: for my hubby to come home...
Liking: Lightroom. Currently, my favorite photo editing program!
Wondering: what my kids will be when they grow up?
Loving: the sweet text and emails Jared sends me. They're like little bursts of sunshine throughout my day.
Hoping: for more clarity and direction with our adoption process.
Marvelling: at every single sunset in this beautiful valley...I will never get used to them!
Needing: new sheets for our bed.
Smelling: the hair of my little ones as I tuck them in and kiss them goodnight, just one more time.
Wearing: bare feet, jeans and a t-shirt.
Following: the ant trail in my pantry.
Noticing: the gorgeous tree across the street, blooming in all it's purple glory.
Knowing: I just did all the laundry...so, how does it pile up so fast?
Thinking: about my grocery list and planning meals for summer.
Feeling: grateful for Wednesday afternoons. Hannah is so sweet to give Lily piano lessons, and I'm so lucky to get some girl time alone with Laura. No matter how crazy or chaotic my week may be, Wednesday afternoon's force me to slow down and remember what really matters in life, is the relationships you build and the people you have by your side. These moments with her are like a much needed balm for my soul.
Bookmarking: art projects to do this summer with the kiddos.
Opening: the windows...it's such a beautiful day!
Giggling: with Jared about the day we saw that drunk (or high) guy- dressed in a tie-dye tank top and shorty shorts, rollerbladding down the street, singing at the top of his lungs.
Feeling: so incredibly grateful for this very life we are living right now!
